Factors affecting die and stamping stability precision stamping plant
How to improve the stability of mold has become a practical problem faced by mold manufacturing enterprises. As a high-quality precision stamping plant, when encountering problems, it needs to face the difficulties and find out the reasons, so as to overcome the difficulties and achieve sustainable development.
In mold design and manufacturing, the experience and skills of designers play a key role. Whether the design is reasonable or not can only be confirmed through the mold test, while the mold needs to be tested and modified repeatedly to finally complete.
In production practice, once some molds are put into production line for use, they often have various problems, which can not meet the production requirements or technical requirements of the products, resulting in abnormal shutdown of the production line and many unstable factors.
Stability is divided into process stability and production stability. Process stability refers to the process plan that can meet the requirements of stable production of qualified products; production stability refers to the stable production capacity in the production process.
Because most of the mold manufacturing enterprises in the market are small and medium-sized enterprises, and a considerable part of them still stay in the traditional workshop type production management stage, often ignoring the stability of the mold, resulting in long mold development cycle and high manufacturing costs, which seriously restricts the development pace of enterprises.
Let’s first look at the main factors that affect the stability of the die and stamping forming, respectively: the use of die materials; the strength requirements of die structures; the stability of stamping material properties; the fluctuation characteristics of material thickness; the variation range of materials; the resistance of stretching ribs; the range of blank holder force; the selection of lubricant, etc.
How to select die material reasonably has become one of the most important work in mold design. As we all know, there are many kinds of metal materials used in stamping dies. Due to the different functions of various parts in the dies, the requirements and selection principles of the materials are also different. Therefore, in order to meet the stability requirements of die forming, in addition to requiring the materials to have high strength, high wear resistance and appropriate toughness, the characteristics and yield requirements of the processed products must be fully considered when selecting die materials.
In order to solve the problem of mold stability, it is necessary to strictly check the following aspects:
1. In the process development stage, through the analysis of the product, the possible defects in the manufacturing process can be predicted, so as to develop a stable manufacturing process plan;
2. Standardize the production process and process;
3. Establish the database and constantly summarize and optimize it;
4. With the aid of CAE analysis software system, the optimal solution is obtained.
