Yutong Bus’s plate technology wins national awards

A few days ago, Yutong officially received the “2019 National Science and Technology Progress Award Certificate” issued by the State Council. In the 2019 National Science and Technology Awards, Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co., Ltd. won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award for the “Laser Welding of Medium and Heavy Plates and Difficult-to-weld Materials and Laser Cutting Technology and Equipment for Complex Curved Curves”. This is the first time that Yutong won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2015, and it was the only company in the industry to win the National Science and Technology Progress Award twice in four years.

After nearly 13 years of research and application research, Yutong Bus has made a major breakthrough in laser cutting technology in cooperation with Hunan University and Shenzhen Han’s Laser. The series of high-end equipment developed and produced broke the foreign monopoly on laser cutting technology and equipment, and replaced imports in large quantities. It is not only used in Yutong, but also widely used in related industries such as automobiles and sheet metal processing, and exported to the United States, Germany, Japan, etc. China has achieved significant economic and social benefits.
